The Invisalign process typically involves the following steps:

  • Consultation: The first step is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Aditya Mehta to determine if you are a good candidate for the treatment. We will evaluate your teeth and discuss your goals and expectations for the treatment.
  • Treatment Plan: Once you decide to move forward with Invisalign, we will take digital images and impressions of your teeth to create a 3D model of your mouth. They will then use this model to develop a personalized treatment plan, which will include a series of custom-made aligners that are designed to gradually shift your teeth into the desired position.
  • Aligner Fitting: Once your aligners are ready, we will fit them to your teeth and provide you with instructions on how to wear and care for them. You will typically wear each set of aligners for one to two weeks before switching to the next set.
  • Follow-up Appointments: We will schedule regular follow-up appointments to monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan.
  • Retainer: After you have completed your Invisalign treatment, you will need to wear a retainer to help maintain the position of your teeth. We will provide you with instructions on how often to wear your retainer and for how long.

Many people prefer Invisalign over traditional braces because they are removable and do not require any special dietary restrictions. However, it’s important to follow our instructions carefully to ensure the best possible results from your treatment.

 

It varies from as little as 10 weeks to a few months depending on your personal plan. In our consultation stage, we will evaluate and then once we have all the information, We can provide a timeline for it.

 

We would want you to wear your aligners for about 22 hours per day. Meaning we only want them out when you are eating. That is actually the best part of it. Traditional braces make eating uncomfortable while you are under the treatment and also have restrictions on what you can eat. With Invisalign you can eat everything as you can just remove the aligners while eating.

 

Most of the time, Invisalign aligners can be cleaned with just water. As you are brushing and flossing before using the aligners, they are usually always clean. There are aligner cleaners available in pharmacies which can also be used.

 

After you have completed your Invisalign treatment, you will need to wear a retainer to help maintain the position of your teeth. We will provide you with instructions on how often to wear your retainer and for how long. Eventually, you can taper off the retainers.
