There are many treatment options available to manage white spots by your dental professional. Your dentist may recommend microabrasion of the enamel, composite resin restorations, veneers, teeth whitening or bleaching treatments, or topical fluoride to combat white spots on teeth.
If you notice white spots on your child’s teeth, contact your pediatric dentist immediately. They will perform a comprehensive examination and will recommend treatment for white spot lesions based on the cause. Potential treatment options for white spots on your child’s teeth may include fluoride treatments, microabrasion of the enamel, composite resin restorations, or dental sealants.
Unfortunately, there is a high prevalence of white spots during orthodontic treatment as a result of plaque accumulation around braces. Once braces are removed, dental professionals recommend waiting at least 3 months before treating white spot lesions to allow for potential remineralization naturally. This time also allows your teeth to become less sensitive and stabilized prior to treatment. After 3 months, your dentist will recommend the most appropriate treatment.
There are a number of natural methods promoted to treat white spots, such as using fluoride toothpaste, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, and oil pulling. However, you should speak with your dental professional prior to doing any natural or home remedies. Some natural ways to improve white spots that you can start implementing now include brushing and flossing daily, adjusting your diet to include more calcium-rich foods (milk, cheese, yogurt), and limiting sugary and acidic foods and beverages.
Sometimes mild white spots fade with improved oral hygiene and remineralization. However, many cases require professional treatment for best results.

Nashley TicasTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was my first time here and I was really nervous because it’s been a few years since I’ve been to the dentist. Right when I walked into the waiting room it was very welcoming, very clean, and modern. The front desk woman whose name I didn’t catch was very nice and greeted me with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. I got called in just after waiting for a few minutes. The dental assistant Gigi was super nice, very welcoming, and had some great humor too. She definitely helped ease my anxiety. Once I met Dr.Mehta, he came in with his warm energy and kindness. He made me feel very comfortable. He was super nice and made my experience coming to the dentist much better. He explained things very clearly and made sure I was up to date with everything. Lastly, the other front desk receptionist who’s named Nikkie helped me make my future appointment. She was super nice and very friendly. Overall, I wish I could give this dentist 10 stars but they truly made me feel comfortable and made my experience which I thought was going to be nerve wracking and horrible to the complete opposite! I would recommend coming to get your dentist work here and I am looking forward to my future appointments here. Thank you to all the staff at Smile Avenue! :)) Apple SeedTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly recommend this practice from someone with some pretty bad dental anxiety. The place is well kept and clean which already gives a welcoming environment. The dentist is informative and straight forward with what needs to be done. He seems to care and wants to save the teeth if he can. They are very clear with payments and will work with you financially. The last place quoted me over 15k for my dental work and I haven’t even gone over 2k yet. I will gladly pay whatever if it means I’m going to be comfortable. Reception, everything. I seriously could not recommend this place more.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
