Most cosmetic dentistry procedures are considered elective and are not typically covered by insurance. However, some treatments that also provide restorative benefits, such as crowns or bonding, may receive partial coverage. It’s best to consult with your insurance provider and our office for specific details.
The duration of cosmetic dentistry procedures varies depending on the treatment. Teeth whitening can be completed in a single visit, while procedures like veneers or dental implants may require multiple visits over several weeks. Your cosmetic dentist will provide a timeline during your consultation.
The longevity of cosmetic dental treatments varies by procedure and how well you maintain your oral hygiene. Treatments like veneers and dental implants can last many years with proper care, but procedures like teeth whitening may need periodic touch-ups.
If you’re unhappy with your teeth or smile, cosmetic dentistry offers a variety of solutions. Treatments such as teeth whitening, veneers, dental bonding, and orthodontics can address issues like discoloration, chips, gaps, and misalignment to enhance the appearance of your smile.
Most cosmetic dentistry procedures are minimally invasive and involve little to no discomfort. For more complex procedures, your dentist will use local anesthesia or sedation options to ensure a pain-free experience.
Your cosmetic dentist in Whitinsville will always make sure to suggest a treatment that benefits the health of your smile as well as its appearance. For many people, porcelain veneers are the perfect example of this type of treatment.
To make sure that porcelain veneers are right for you, our dentists will make sure you don’t have any untreated issues like cavities or gum disease beforehand. After all, the health of your smile is more important and urgent than the cosmetic aspect of it. If you clench or grind your teeth, we may recommend a nightguard to prevent harmful wear and tear of your veneers.
You’re a great candidate for veneers if you have one or more of the following imperfections in your smile to correct:
You may have heard that a dental crown can fix all the problems mentioned above, and this is true to an extent. A dental crown, however, is a tooth-shaped cap that slips over the top of the tooth and conceals the entire visible portion of the tooth. Veneers, on the other hand, only cover the front-facing section of your pearly whites.
As mentioned earlier, the great thing about veneers is that they only take two quick appointments to place, after the initial consultation to determine that they’re the right treatment for you. At the first appointment, we will remove a small sliver of enamel to ensure your veneers lay flush against your teeth and don’t bulge out in your smile. Then we’ll take impressions of your prepped teeth and send those off to the dental lab to design your veneers.
In the meantime, we’ll affix you with temporary veneers to let you take your new smile for a test drive. Simply return to our office for a second appointment in a few weeks when your permanent veneers are ready, and we’ll instantly transform the appearance of your grin

Nashley TicasTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was my first time here and I was really nervous because it’s been a few years since I’ve been to the dentist. Right when I walked into the waiting room it was very welcoming, very clean, and modern. The front desk woman whose name I didn’t catch was very nice and greeted me with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. I got called in just after waiting for a few minutes. The dental assistant Gigi was super nice, very welcoming, and had some great humor too. She definitely helped ease my anxiety. Once I met Dr.Mehta, he came in with his warm energy and kindness. He made me feel very comfortable. He was super nice and made my experience coming to the dentist much better. He explained things very clearly and made sure I was up to date with everything. Lastly, the other front desk receptionist who’s named Nikkie helped me make my future appointment. She was super nice and very friendly. Overall, I wish I could give this dentist 10 stars but they truly made me feel comfortable and made my experience which I thought was going to be nerve wracking and horrible to the complete opposite! I would recommend coming to get your dentist work here and I am looking forward to my future appointments here. Thank you to all the staff at Smile Avenue! :)) Apple SeedTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Highly recommend this practice from someone with some pretty bad dental anxiety. The place is well kept and clean which already gives a welcoming environment. The dentist is informative and straight forward with what needs to be done. He seems to care and wants to save the teeth if he can. They are very clear with payments and will work with you financially. The last place quoted me over 15k for my dental work and I haven’t even gone over 2k yet. I will gladly pay whatever if it means I’m going to be comfortable. Reception, everything. I seriously could not recommend this place more.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust.
